I grew up in Southern New Jersey. It's pretty rural where I live, I'm near the Pinelands and to get to our home you need to pass a number of farms. A far stretch from the urban feel of Old City Philadelphia. This couple are planning a wedding down in Atlantic City and will be taking portraits on the beach, so they wanted something a little different for their engagement photos. They asked if they could shoot in Philadelphia. Of course! There are so many beautiful places in the city and we decided on going to Stamper Street. Each home is meticulously adorned with flower boxes and colorfully painted shutters and doors. I love how her coral top pops against the green sage color. It's kind of funny, the homeowners on this street don't seem to mind people popping on their doorstops for photos. There are a number of places in Philadelphia to take engagement photos. Stamper Street, Delancey and Spruce are all great streets to take a stroll. South Street is full of interesting shops and bars and is very close to Penns Landing if you want to take some night shots. I enjoy exploring the city and can definitely find some interesting and unique locations for Philly engagement photos.
